AIDS Project Worcester is a non-profit organization employing advocacy, education, outreach and collaborative initiatives to enhance the lives and health of people in Central Massachusetts.
For persons infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted and intravenous drug use transmitted infections we provide case managment, nutrition, trnsprotation, housing, counseling and Peer support;
For persons who are statistically at high risk of infection and for the community at large, we provide testing, education and assistance regarding methods of infection prevention as well as other supports and referals for help.
For intravenous drug users and their family and friends we provide Narcan training and syringe services (disposal and cleaning).
Alternatives Unlimited is a non-profit organization providing a comprehensive range of services and supports to persons throughout Central Massachusetts who have a serious mental illness and/or a serious developmental disability. For every individual Alternative's serves the objective is a real home, a real job and real relationships.
Real homes are not made in institutions or “facilities.” They are real places of warmth and joy in the neighborhoods of our communities.
Real jobs are not busy-work. Real jobs are not found in sheltered workshops. Real jobs are found in the free market of the local community.
Real relationships are not formed by the payment of one person to be a “friend,” nor are they the automatic outcome of being with others who happen to share one’s disability. Real relationships are formed and nurtured naturally in the community.
PLEASE HELP US ACCOMPLISH THESE WORTHY MISSIONS WITH YOUR SUPPORT. WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL FOR WHATEVER HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE
